Experiência fantástica: I had just moved permanently to Madeira when I had a dental emergency. I split a molar in two biting down on an olive (with a stone). I found the Madeira Dental Center based on Google reviews and went there without an appointment. The receptionist spoke perfect English and the premises were very modern. A friendly English speaking dentist saw me immediately. Unfortunately the tooth was beyond repair. The dentist mentioned that their oral surgeon was in the practice that day if I wanted advice on replacing the molar. I was introduced to Dr Agostinho Gouvea and he saw me immediately. He had a very calming presence and explained my options in English without any sales pressure. Over the years I have had two failing Maryland bridges. I decided to commit to having 5 dental implants costing €1500 each which was a lot more affordable than their UK costs. I am writing this review just after having my 6 month check-up post having all my dental implants installed. I cannot recommend this dental practice enough as I have found them to be extremely professional and kind. Thank you Dr Agostinho and all your staff for your excellent service.

Experiência fantástica: Heute habe ich das Madeira Dental Center besucht und war wirklich sehr positiv überrascht. Ich war im Urlaub auf Madeira, als plötzlich starke Zahnschmerzen auftraten. Ich habe mich sofort an die Klinik gewandt und wurde ohne Wartezeit direkt angenommen. Es wurde umgehend eine Untersuchung durchgeführt und ein Röntgenbild gemacht. Das gesamte Team war sehr freundlich, einfühlsam und professionell – besonders die Zahnärztin. Sie hat mich ruhig untersucht, alles verständlich erklärt und mir sofort ein Gefühl der Sicherheit gegeben, was in so einer Situation wirklich sehr wichtig ist. Die Zahnärztin sprach Englisch, aber um sicherzugehen, habe ich meine Beschwerden zusätzlich mit Hilfe eines Übersetzers auf Portugiesisch beschrieben, damit es keinerlei Missverständnisse gibt. Das wurde vom Team sehr verständnisvoll aufgenommen. Ich bin sehr dankbar für die schnelle Hilfe, die Professionalität und den herzlichen Umgang. Trotz der Entfernung von zu Hause habe ich mich in sehr guten Händen gefühlt. Ich kann diese Klinik uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen

Sie hat mir sofort geholfen, sich viel Zeit genommen und alles ruhig und verständlich erklärt. Ich habe mich trotz der akuten Situation sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Dank ihrer schnellen und kompetenten Behandlung ging es mir deutlich besser und ich konnte meine Reise fortsetzen. Ich kann diese Zahnärztin zu 100 % weiterempfehlen. Experiência fantástica: Top Zahnärzte... Meine Frau musste leider während einer Kreuzfahrt wegen eines abgebrochenen Zahn zur Behandlung. Wir wurden freundlich behandelt und alles in allem kann ich diese Zahnärzte wärmstens weiterempfehlen.. Der Preis für über eine Std Bohren und Neu füllen war gegenüber der in Deutschland üblichen Kosten mit 115 Euro auch absolut in Ordnung.Darauf kamen noch mal knapp 12 Euro für 3 Medikamente was auch nicht so teuer war. Das beste war das wir gleich dran kamen , ohne großartige Wartezeit...

Experiência fantástica: Haben Urlaub auf Madeira gemacht und hatten einen Notfall. Wir hatten vorher unser Problem von KI auf portugiesisch übersetzen lassen. Wir brauchten aufgrund einer starken Entzündung mit Schwellung Antibiotika und Schmerzmittel. Keine 5 Minuten gewartet und schon waren wir bei der Zahnärztin. Die Behandlung/Beratung hat 55€ gekostet, was total in Ordnung ist und haben unser Rezept bekommen. Vielen Dank.

Experiência negativa: I went in for a routine teeth cleaning which lasted less than 10 minutes. The treatment itself was fine, but the cost of €60 feels very high compared to the usual €25–40 charged at other clinics in Portugal for the same basic service. In addition, the new doctor was not as friendly or welcoming as the previous one, which left the overall experience less positive than before.

Experiência fantástica: Lors d’un séjour d’1 semaine à Madère, j’ai malencontreusement eu une rage de dent sévère. Je me suis rendu au Madeira Dental Center à 9h45, j’ai été vivement accueilli, sans attente. J’ai été pris en charge avec professionnalisme et traité par Dr.Fatima et son assistante qu’étaient excellente. Aucune douleur, aucune gêne, tout était parfait. Je recommande vivement de centre dentaire.

Experiência fantástica: Ich kann das Dental Center auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Ich brauchte dringende Behandlung mit einer nicht mehr haltenden Krone. Telefonisch konnte mir direkt ein Termin in 1.5h gegeben werden. Vor Ort muss man kurz fragen, wo sich das Dental Center befindet. Von der freundlichen Mitarbeiterin wurde mir der Weg in das 4 OG erklärt. Auch hier der Empfang und die Zahnärztin sehr freundlich. Mir wurde sehr schnell geholfen, so das ich unbeschwert den Urlaub genießen kann.

Experiência fantástica: I had an emergency on vacation there and decided to walk in early in the morning praying they could get me in that day … and they squeezed me in within two hours, allowing me to go straight back to enjoying my vacation by lunchtime. They were very professional and well priced. With my dental history and the service I got from them on that beautiful island, I think I should always travel to Madeira! Thanks to the reception and dentist/assistant for saving me from prolonged stress that day and for saving my trip! 10/10.

Experiência fantástica: Twice on holiday in Madeira I have had the misfortune to have dental problems. So this time, I knew where to go. I lost a crown on the flight over (damn corn snacks) and with it the whole tooth. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the dentist was second to none. Carmen was sympathetic, efficient and helpful about what my options were. I hate having dental treatment, but she put me at ease and was very kind, carrying out a temporary filling. I even left with recommendations about where to eat, and reassurance that the filling would cope with meat and fish.

Experiência fantástica: Highly recommend if you are visiting Funchal. I had a chipped tooth just before Xmas and was here for a month. Helpful lady on reception. I got an appointment the same day. Catarina the dentist was so lovely. She gave me two options explaining the pros and cons. I chose to have the small filling which she did on the spot. Total cost of 65 Euros. Spoke great English.

Experiência fantástica: Hello, I lost a Crown the first day of our vacation. I startet a Chat and the Clinic replied fast. Got an appointment two days later because we did have touristik arrangements and I had no pain. Crown got set back in, but fell out again due to bad tooth situation (something was broken out) could come back the next day for second try. Did work out this time. Experiência fantástica: Innerhalb von 5 Stunden einen Termin bekommen, waren mit dem Schiff nur für 1 Tag dort. Nett, freundlich und kompetent geholfen. Vom Wasser kommend in Richtung Markthalle und direkt anschließend rechts ca 75 Meter, nur mit dem Aufzug in die 4. Etage.

Experiência fantástica: Meine Freundin ist am Samstag morgen mit Zahnschmerzen aufgewacht. Per Chat mit einer netten Dame 30!!! Minuten später einen Termin vereinbart. Vor Ort alles sauber und höchst professionell. Insgesamt mit Aufnahme, Röntgen, Behandlung und Rechnung für deutsche Versicherung ca. 1 Stunde 15 vor Ort. Sowohl die Arzthelferin als auch der Arzt absolut freundlich und kompetent. Am Ende 70!!! Euro bezahlt und Freundin geht es gut. 10/10 zu 100% zu empfehlen. Vielen, vielen Dank! Wir werden immer wieder kommen. P.s Wenn man ins medical Center reinkommt , rechts in den Fahrstuhl, in den 4 Stock. Dort liegt die Praxis etwas versteckt. ❤️

I had a tooth removed, everything went well and healed perfectly. Also a fraction of the price I would have paid in the UK. Would recommend

Ich hatte sehr starke Schmerzen durch eine Zahnfleischentzündung, die ich mir am dritten Urlaubstag auf der wunderschönen Insel Madeira zuzog. Ich fuhr an einem Samstag (!) ins Madeira Dental Center nach Funchal und wurde dort - ohne Termin - superfreundlich und kompetent behandelt. Frau Dr. Texeira und ihre nette Kollegin waren wunderbar und haben meinen Urlaub - wenn auch fortan unter Antibiotika :-) - gerettet. Sehr zu empfehlen. Kleiner Schwierigkeitsgrad: die hier angegebene Adresse ist zwar nah aber ich fand die Zahnklinik duch Durchfragen im 4.Stock des Medical Centers, gleich über dem Parkhaus… nicht weiter schlimm, vielleicht gibt‘s auch zwei Behandlungszentren..

Experiência negativa: Good customer service, but way too invasive treatment. Better off going to Clinica Arriaga where they help you without leaving a giant hole in your tooth. Edit following the clinic's comment: the giant hole was a result of the dentist using invasive drilling as a diagnostic tool for a fracture (that didn't exist), a method that literally shocked the specialists they recommended me to see. They drilled so deep that it is as per now uncertain if the tooth can be saved. So, I would avoid this place at all cost.
